DOGS.

ARE.

OBLIGATE.

OMNIVORES.

They are the domesticated descendants of obligate carnivores, that evolved alongside and formed an obligate symbiotic relationship with omnivores (humans) and as a result have slowly adapted to being omnivores themselves.

Humans are only now relatively recently considering how long evolution takes able to exist on an entirely vegetarian diet. And we’ve been omnivores for far longer than dogs have.

You may think your dog is thriving on a vegan diet because their fur is shiny and their eyes are bright, but that’s because vegetables are good for the hair and eyes. A dog’s liver and pancreas are not equipped to handle nothing but vegetable matter. They are internally bloated and are at a significant risk of organ failure. They will lose body mass as they will stop getting the right amount of protein. You will notice it in the gaunt sunken appearance in their face and around their eyes.

Not letting your dog have meat is neglect and abuse. The ideal diet for a dog is a fresh raw diet that includes meat and egg protein and a small amount of dog-safe fruit or vegetable. Bone marrow is also especially healthy in small amounts. Dog food that uses things like corn and grain as filler so the company can cheap out on the cost of chicken and beef is notably less healthy for dogs than a raw diet.

A dog will eat anything. Even if it isn’t healthy. Even if it is poisonous.

And on that note, many vegetables and fruits INCLUDING SUPERFOODS like avocado are incredibly poisonous to dogs. Pretty much everything that has internal seeds. There’s no harm in giving your dog something to crunch on like a nice fresh carrot, but they really do need meat. They’re not obligate carnivores like cats are, but I’ll break your goddamn jaw if you won’t recognize them as obligate omnivores.

It takes way more than a few thousand years to make a wolf vegan. If you wouldn’t force it on a cat don’t force it on a dog. When in doubt look at the teeth, look at the position of the eyes on the head, look at how they engage in their environment and play. Dogs are pack hunters. Now the fact that their packs are bipedal omnivores will allow them to have more diverse diets than their wild relatives, but they’re still pack hunters. The average dog will see a small critter and go for it. That’s nature. Don’t like it? Get a rabbit. When they bond with you they’ll run to you and jump for joy and beg you for scritches. And they eat pellets, hay, and tasty greens for treats. You’d be surprised by the amount of rabbits that need homes. You’d be surprised at how much they act like dogs and cats. You can build them an enclosure indoors or give them a whole room, they are litter trained, you can have them run supervised around the house, they will climb in your lap and nuzzle you, they will flop out when happy and relaxed, you can teach them tricks, they will play with toys. Rabbits are very smart and the perfect vegan pet.

If you’re not going to provide for a dog properly get a toy or pick a different pet. I swear to God. I can’t get my service dog because of how much this province hates the poor and the disabled but these bastards with their stupid fame from their fucking cat whisperer tv show get paid to shill dog poison. I’m going to throw up.

Nevaeh now wears a scarf to cover several bald spots and her singed
hair. She was left with first-degree burns, but it could have been worse
according to Tanya Robinson, Nevaeh’s mother.

“The doctor told me her hairstyle saved her life,” Tanya recalled. “Had it been different, she might not be here.”

This isn’t the first time Nevaeh has experienced bullying. Two years ago, another student broke her thumb.

I’m walking into that school like

Hate crime. It should qualify as one.

Nevaeh is thirteen years old. This happened at Gompers School in the Philadelphia School District. The school district has not issued any comment, but y’all can make yours:
