Please help me avoid eviction!!

Friday, October 19th – Hi everyone, I’m Gemma and I’m so sorry to ask this again so soon, but is anyone able to send me a few £’s to help me pay my overdue rent, as I desperately need help to pay it and avoid eviction.

As many of you may know, I’ve been struggling these past few months, literally since the new year in January, because I’ve had my welfare benefits (Universal Credit and Housing Benefit) revoked under the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned and due to my mental illnesses, my benefits have been on and off sanctions ever since.

The above letters are from my local housing association stating that my Housing Benefit is still under a suspension, despite my unemployment advisor assuring me that it would be reinstated for this month (October’s) rent. As you can see from the rent statement above my rent due is £384.79 and since receiving this letter a few days ago, I have been trying to arrange some sort of extension or payment – leeway with them as they know that I am waiting for my U.C/Housing benefits to be fully reinstated. An extension on paying this has been declined and I am struggling to find an alternative to paying this balance which is due next week (October 28th)

My U.C benefit is currently under a “capped- sanction” and the £185 that I am due to receive will go towards paying off my utilities and other bills, leaving me with nothing to help pay my rent or get groceries and I know that I have asked this a lot these past few months and all the help I have previously received has literally helped me from spiralling into more debt and helped me to eat and stay warm and I absolutely hate to ask for more help but I have no one else to turn to.  

If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life and, sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. Nobody has to donate if they can’t or don’t want to, I know we’re all struggling. Thank you for your help 💖

Hey so remember when I was trying to raise money to prevent my landlord/roommate from kicking me out? She wanted $300 then she bumped it to $475 just to be an asshole? I didn’t raise enough of it in time and she literally tried to have me kicked out the morning of Sept 30th. She told me “you need to pack your shit and go” then proceeded to stuff all of my belongings from the kitchen into garbage bags and throw them outside.

As much as I didn’t want to do this I called the police to stop her from doing that. To retaliate her and her husband took all of those garbage bags from outside & everything else I had in the kitchen and dumped them into my room then also proceeded to tell me that I’m not allowed to use the kitchen, living room and the bathroom.

This is all the stuff they dumped into my room. Most of those things they dumped into my room were perishable refrigerated food items like butter and milk as well as vegetables. They also threatened to cut the power off to drive me out of the house.

I officially go to orientation for my new job next Wednesday morning (I went in this past Tuesday to sign paperwork and get my name tag and photo taken) & I fully plan to save my paychecks to rent somewhere else while I’m in this current situation (since they cannot legally throw me out the way they tried to do on Sunday they might take out an eviction notice but honestly I doubt it since the landlord/roommate doesn’t own the house we currently live in & doing so would tip the owner off that she’s illegally subletting the house & garage to 4 other people myself included) but in the meantime I really need money for gas and food as well as cat food for Jonesy who the landlord is punishing by forcing him to stay in my room. The landlord took all of what I raised to pay her and still tried to throw me out. So not only am I flat fucking broke but all of the perishable food I had to eat is all spoiled and wasted from sitting in a hot room bc the landlord will not let me into the kitchen without berating me and telling me to “go away nobody wants you here”

I hate to ask again but damn, I’m just trying to fucking survive!
